MBACC Encourages Residents to Shop Local This Holiday Season
The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau encourages area residents to shop local this holiday season. And shoppers who do can take advantage of the chamber’s “Shop Our Members” campaign.
Each person who shows receipts totaling $150 from local businesses will be entered in a drawing. Five winners will each receive $200 in various gift cards for entertainment, dining and shopping. The receipts must be dated between Nov. 1 and Dec. 13, 2019.
“Many of our investors offer discounts throughout the year, but during the holiday season we offer this additional incentive to encourage consumers to take advantage of these deals while supporting the local economy,” said Karen Riordan, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “Shopping local is often a good way to find unique, local products, but it also supports innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth for our entire community, and we’re pleased to support small businesses with this campaign.”
The winners will be drawn on Dec. 17, 2019. Participants can enter as often as they like by presenting new receipts totaling $150. All entries must be received by Dec. 16. Receipts should be presented to chamber staff at the welcome center at 1200 N. Oak St. in Myrtle Beach, or inside Myrtle Beach International Airport.
