"We're thrilled to have the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament coming to the Myrtle Beach area in 2017. This event presents a tremendous opportunity for the entire Grand Strand, as it provides a much-needed boost to our local economy during a slow time, solidifies the Myrtle Beach area as a great sports tourism destination and attracts regional and national publicity. We are deeply indebted to Coastal Carolina University for stepping forward to host this event, helping to elevate our national appeal as a thriving contender for high-profile sporting events."
