HotelPlanner.com names Myrtle Beach a top group travel destination for 2016
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Myrtle Beach recognized as the number two beach in the nation for group travelers, according to HotelPlanner.com’s Top 10 Most Group-Friendly Beach Cities in the U.S., released yesterday. Determined by a compilation of sales data from beach cities with the most group travel bookings, the ranking includes types of groups and the average number of travelers from June 2016 to August 2016.
“Myrtle Beach is a year-round vacationer’s paradise that is quickly becoming one of the most popular choices in America for group meetings, conventions, social affairs and special events, so this ranking comes as no surprise to us,” says Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “While we’re thrilled to see this national recognition for the incredible array of options we offer group travelers, the praise belongs to our business and community members for the warm Southern hospitality that keep visitors coming back again and again.”
