Celebrates Global Meetings Industry Day
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce joins Meeting Professionals International (MPI) in celebrating Global Meetings Industry Day on April 6 at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes.
Global Meetings Industry Day will bring together a number of industry professionals to showcase and highlight the economic value of trade shows, incentive travel, conventions, business meetings, conference and exhibitions to businesses and communities, including the Myrtle Beach area.
This event will attract meeting professionals from throughout the Carolinas, many of which represent other regional entities throughout the United States interested in taking their next meeting to destinations throughout the country.
"We are excited that MPI has once again selected Myrtle Beach as the location to host their second annual Global Meetings Industry Day," stated Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "The meetings industry is particularly important to our destination as it represents a significant revenue impact to our hotel and nonlodging partners throughout the year, but especially during our spring and fall shoulder seasons."
The Global Meetings Industry Day will take place at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes located at 8400 Costa Verde Dr., Myrtle Beach. The informal reception will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m., April 6. The event is not open to the public; however, media are invited to attend.
