GSYP Presents 12th Annual Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The 12th Annual Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast returns to the Grand Strand, Feb. 22, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club at 4911 Highway 17 S. Business in Murrells Inlet.
The event, hosted by Grand Strand Young Professionals (GSYP), is the Grand Strand’s largest oyster roast, drawing more than 500 attendees each year. It is sponsored by Carolina Cool and Topgolf.
“This popular event is a fundraiser for our Substitutes for Santa program held each December,” said Caroline Murray, GSYP liaison for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “All proceeds from ticket sales will go toward creating a memorable Christmas shopping experience for more than 100 needy children in our area.”
The oyster roast is open to the public, but attendance is limited and purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
Adult tickets are $30, which includes all-you-can-eat oysters, one plate of chicken bog and fixings and two drinks. Tickets are $10 for children ages 8 and under. Adults who do not eat oysters can also purchase a ticket for $10. Live entertainment will be provided by Chris Elswick.
Visit MyrtleBeachAreaChamber.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
