Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Completes
2018 Annual Financial Audit
Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau recently announced the completion of their 2018 annual audit. Independent auditing firm, Smith Sapp, provided MBACC with its 20th consecutive clean audit opinion. Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s total Net Assets as of Dec. 31, 2018, were $16,409,361; comprising of $8,436,886 in restricted reserves as dictated by state and local municipalities, and $7,946,846, directed by the chamber’s board of directors for operating reserves in the case of a catastrophic event such as a major hurricane.
MBACC management is responsible for the preparation and presentation of the chamber’s financial statements in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.
