MEDIA STATEMENT
In response to the Myrtle Beach International Airport’s announcement that American Airlines is adding non-stop daily flights to and from Washington, D.C., Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC), issued the following statement:
“We are very pleased to see daily non-stop service resume between Reagan National Airport and Myrtle Beach International Airport,” said Brad Dean, president and CEO of MBACC. “Previous service was very helpful in attracting visitors from the DC metro region and provided quick, convenient access to local residents flying to our nation’s capital. The DC region has become one of our biggest feeder markets, and with so many young professionals and families living there, this service will enable us to expand our visitor base and create more local jobs.”
