We looked for top rated places on here and this popped up. The menu selection looked good to us so we gave it a try and it did not disappoint! Average rating of what we got from a group of three:
Thai Shrimp - 10/10 (The shrimp is fresh here, lightly breaded, lightly fried and seasoned well.
Fried Green Tomatoes - 8.5/10 (unfair rating b/c my wife don't like them period, but she tried them and gave them a 7)
Shrimp Po Boy - 9/10 (ask for more of the Cajun Mayo to make it a 10)
Tidewater Burger - 11/10 (I couldn't take my eyes off my wife's burger and was jealous I didn't get it... but I did get a bite... that beef was DELICIOUS!)
Service - 10/10
Overall, next time I'm here in MB I will want to come back!Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jimmy A.Martinsburg, WV0303May 17, 2024
Food was good service not so much. We came here on our last day in Myrtle Thursday 16 of May. The restaurant was not busy at all. Two tables still had food on them from previous customers and had not been cleaned. We waited at least 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged.
After we received our coffee we did notice a well dressed older lady that may have been an owner. Once she arrived people seemed to be a little more speedy but still lacked attentiveness or customer service training. The food was good but we wouldn't return based on the service. There are plenty of other options for breakfastHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian J.Columbia, SC726810Mar 21, 2024
A classy little hole in the wall.
Shhhh, it's very small so don't tell too many friends or you won't find a seat.
Booths, tables, and bar as well as a small seasonal outdoor area.
Speedy friendly service.
Menu selection is ideal with specials available.
Finally, everything tasted great!
Again, shhhhhh, don't tell too many people.

Very friendly and inviting people, staff was happy to have us . This was an overall overrated restaurant. We tried the calamari which came out soggy and very chewy . We shared a burger that was tasteless and over cooked . Didn't understand how this place rated so high . I was disappointed with our food .

We found this hidden gem from Yelp. I didn't expect it to be in the location it was in. It was in a little strip mall and looked like a diner. When we got inside they had smooth jazz and a very inviting setting. Casual yet elegant. There is a second room that has windows and more lighted. Our server was Luke and he was great! The menu has a little bit of everything and I enjoyed the variety. My mom had the house salads and it has the most delicious bun I ever had on it. It was honestly something I would go eat there for. The salad was plentiful and the seafood bisque was delicious. I had the crab cake sandwich and sweet potato fries. The crab cake was nothing to brag about. I wish I would have chosen the lobster roll or grouper. My daughter's burger and onion rings were really good. My dad and the fish and chips and it was a huge portion. Bloody Mary was also great! The portion sizes of the seafood were wonderful I highly recommend this place for a romantic night/ brunch, etc. oh, we also had the Thai shrimp and it was great!

Highly overrated diner. Food was mediocre, nothing out of the ordinary. Ambiance looks like a dated diner. Only thing that made it pleasant was our server. This place is overrated and overpriced. I stand by my opinion on franchises being better options in the south.

Food is always spot on with lots of daily specials on the board. The staff & great Bartender gives it an A+ in my book! Also prices are good with large portions

Son and I were in town for some golf and wanted to get some fish and chips. We originally called and were told that they were packed and unlikely to be able to take any more customers so we went to another place that was also packed and had a two hour wait. So we decided to physically come to Tidewater and put our names down - however when we arrived the place was half empty (?!) and we were seated right away! Just odd what we were told over the phone.
Anyways, we ordered the seafood platter because we thought flounder fish and chips was different from the usual cod (we ordered an extra flounder filet and it was huge). The flounder was really good and they weren't over breaded. The shrimp were a bit heavy on the breading and nothing to write home about out. The oysters were pretty good as well. Son felt like pasta so we got a shrimp scampi too - tons of large succulent shrimp in their scampi.
The service was A+++
Our waitress was very helpful on ordering and stopped by to check on us multiple times. Other staff also stopped by to check on us too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anna A.Collierville, TN88May 19, 2024
