Plenty of food, almost skipped dinner. Had the pork chops, very tasty. Give them a try.

Found this place looking for something fun to eat that wasn't in the middle of everything when we were in Myrtle.
Mofongo was delicious, empanandas were good, plantains yummy. Portions were big and we had quite a bit of leftovers to take with us.
Service could have been a bit more attentive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Yummy food, friendly staff, delicious food. Def hot and muggy though just with ceiling fans running. Colorful decor with lots of fake plants all around both hanging from the ceiling as well as in the corners.
We came here on a Monday afternoon and it was already pretty busy. We got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the empanadas which are huge and deep fried. My favorite and my daughter's favorite was the ground beef. The sauce it comes with was very nice. Would come again. I want to try the mofongo and the bandeja puntacana!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 8, 2023Updated review
Delicious yet again!!!
Another visit to a new favorite in Myrtle Beach!!
This time it was for brunch! The fried whole red snapper was perfectly crispy!
Hubby enjoyed the empanadas and we both liked the chicken one the best.
We will always stop here when in town!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 26, 2023Previous reviewOh MY!!! This place had my tastebuds DANCING with delight!!
Genesis is so sweet and lovely to talk to! We had great conversations.
She answered any questions we had about the menu and made recommendations.
The food portion is perfect!! It's a very filling meal. I didn't even miss the rice! I like the slice of avocado on the small salad that comes as the setup. Delicious!! The chicken was fried to perfection and cooked thoroughly. The tostones were thin and crispy (just like home).
Jose had a variety of flavors with his dish. Fried cheese was lightly fried; not battered. The pork belly was good, didn't eat the fatty side (it wasn't crisp). The wings were good. The fried sausage was savory! His tostones were perfect as well.
I will definitely make it a point to support this business every time I'm in Myrtle Beach!!
I can't wait to return and try the fried red snapper!! I do have a few more days..I may be back again on this trip!

Authentic Dominican food in Myrtle Beach. Casual environment, parking right outside, the food took a little long, but the staff was and food was good. I recommend the grilled salmon with rice and beans, salad, and fried plantains. The cocktails could have been better, but we really went to eat.

On vacation here in Myrtle Beach and through a search, found this Caribbean restaurant right nearby where we were staying.
I was so excited to try this place as after moving out of NYC where restaurants like this are plentiful, I miss this so much.
Punta Cana did not disappoint me at all. The worst thing I can say about my experience here was the rice. The rice was hard as it must've been sitting around for a while.
The beans were very good; the beef empanadas were large & delicious; my skirt steak was large and seasoned perfectly.
My wife ordered the baked chicken with the sweet bananas and enjoyed her dinner very much.
I do have to say, Punta Cana gives you a meal worth every penny as we were unable to finish our food, a gigantic serving. Even the mango drink is H-U-G-E....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Lovely little place, great staff. My empanadas were a little too crispy for my liking, but I'm no expert. I will definitely go back to try something else.
